Posting a role
The guided five-step flow that gives matching real signal.
Posting a role on Migbirds is a short guided flow. The more precisely you describe what the role really needs, the better the match scores you get back.
Before you start
- Variant — choose Procurement for procurement-specific roles or Universal for everything else. The variant only changes the reference lists you pick from; the flow is the same.
- Visibility — a role can be public (visible to all talent on the platform) or internal (visible only to your own company's members, useful for internal mobility).
The five steps
1. Details
Title and description. You can write freely or use the AI enhancement to restructure your draft into clear sections — you always see a side-by-side comparison and decide whether to keep it.
2. Environments
Select up to three work environments the role operates in, each with an expected expertise level from 0 to 4.
3. Domains
Select up to three domains, again with expertise levels. The options depend on the variant you chose.
4. Competencies
Rate the competencies the role requires on a 0 to 4 scale. Zero means the competency isn't needed — leave it at zero rather than inflating requirements.
5. Context
Geographic scope, the nature of the role, and the working mode. This rounds out the picture candidates see.
Why fewer requirements match better
It's tempting to mark everything as essential. Don't. Every requirement you add dilutes the signal of the ones that truly matter — the platform recommends keeping active competencies to about eight or fewer. A focused role description produces sharper rankings and better conversations.
Publishing and editing
Save as a draft at any point and resume later. When you publish, your followers are notified automatically. You can edit a role after publishing, switch its visibility, or unpublish it if plans change.
